WWDC 2024: Apple announces when and how it will be

WWDC 2024 fecha

Apple has just officially announced the date for its 35th Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). As we anticipated, the event will take place next June, marking a milestone event for developers, enthusiasts, and technology professionals. Let's look at exactly when and how WWDC 2024 will unfold.

When and how will WWDC 2024 be?

In line with previous editions, WWDC 2024 will be held from Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14. Moreover, as has been the case since 2020, it will be conducted virtually, allowing developers worldwide to participate for free. The conference will include online sessions and labs, providing an inside look at the new features and software that Apple plans to announce.

The highlight of the event will be the opening keynote on June 10, where Apple is expected to unveil the latest versions of its operating systems: iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. This keynote, along with other materials and presentations, will be available via the Apple Developer app, the Apple website, and YouTube.

Despite its online format, Apple will invite a select group of developers and students to a special event at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. Participants will be chosen through a random lottery among current members of the Apple Developer Program, alumni of the Apple Entrepreneur Camp, previous Swift Student Challenge winners, and members of the Apple Developer Enterprise Program, who can now apply to attend the event.

In addition to the technical sessions, Apple remains committed to the education and professional development of young talent. This year, the Swift Student Challenge started earlier than usual, and its winners will be announced on March 28. These lucky individuals will also have the opportunity to attend the special event at Apple Park, and 50 distinguished winners among them will enjoy a three-day experience in Cupertino.

With the upcoming release of the powerful iOS 18, which may draw inspiration from visionOS, bring a significantly more powerful Siri, intelligent responses in the Messages app, a much more flexible home screen, and several confirmed AI features, WWDC 2024 promises to be a landmark event for Apple and the wider tech landscape.
