The most anticipated week for those of us who follow the Apple world is finally here. WWDC26 begins this coming Monday, June 8, with the presentation of iOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27 and many more new features that will officially arrive on our devices starting this autumn. While we wait for the big opening event and see how we can watch it live, let’s talk about what to expect, as well as the new official wallpapers and the Apple Music playlist created to celebrate the occasion.
How to watch the WWDC26 keynote live
The main WWDC26 presentation will take place on Monday, June 8, at 10:00 California time and 19:00 Spain time, and Apple is giving us several ways to enjoy it from anywhere.
- From Apple’s official YouTube channel.
- Through the Apple TV app, available on our iPhone, iPad, Mac and, of course, Apple TV. We simply need to open the special events section close to the time of the presentation.
- On the Apple Events website, which offers the broadcast through a player compatible with any modern browser.
What we expect to see during the presentation
Although there is plenty of room for surprises, the rumours from recent weeks give us a fairly clear idea of what awaits us at WWDC26. We know the company will present the new versions of all its operating systems: iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27, but what new features will they bring?
According to the most reliable rumours, the main focus will be on the completely revamped new Siri and on Apple Intelligence improvements aimed at giving us more natural answers, proactive actions and an even smoother integration with the apps we use in our day-to-day lives. We should also see some tweaks to the Liquid Glass design that Apple introduced last year.
Apple will also focus, as far as we know, on performance and battery life improvements, as it seems to have spent a good amount of time polishing bugs so that the experience feels as smooth as possible.
What if we can’t wait?
We can download the official WWDC26 wallpaper and listen to the music Apple has prepared for the event. The wallpaper, titled “Glow all out”, gives us a small visual preview of the design that will accompany the presentation. We can download it very easily:
- We open the official WWDC26 page from our device.
- We select our device: iPhone, iPad or Mac.
- We tap Download wallpaper to save it in maximum resolution.
- We apply it from the Photos app or the Wallpaper settings.
WWDC26 is much more than an event; it is the moment when Apple shows us how its ecosystem will evolve over the coming months. Between the new Siri, the Apple Intelligence improvements and the new features in iOS 27, we are just a few days away from one of the most interesting weeks of the year for Apple technology enthusiasts.
