Apple has released updates for iOS 17.3.1 and iPadOS 17.3.1 for our iPhone and iPad, watchOS 10.3.1 for the Apple Watch, and macOS 14.3.1 for the Mac with various bug fixes and improvements in the operation of our devices. Following the significant number of new features that came with iOS 17.3 and the rest of the systems, including the new anti-theft system for the iPhone, these updates now focus on some details to make our iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac work even better.

Updates focused on a single error, but an important one

The main focus is on an error that could cause text to duplicate or be replaced and overlapped while we were typing on our iPhone or iPad. On the Mac, where it could also show random characters that we had not written, the solution also comes in this update.

For its part, on the Apple Watch, the version notes talk about "Performance improvements and bug fixes," without specifying any particular fix. Even with the small size of the updates, Apple recommends that we install them on all our devices as soon as possible.

Let's remember that to update our iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch, we just need to open the Settings app, go to the General section, tap on Software Update, and then on Update Now. Thus, after a brief restart, our devices will work better than before.

While we wait for all the new features that will come with iOS 17.4 in a few weeks, we can prepare the ground with the newly released versions. Ones that, as always, will make our devices work as best as possible.
