This amazing capability will allow us to interact with Siri in a more natural way, completing tasks directly related to what’s in front of us —such as sharing screenshots or performing quick actions based on visible information.
3. Advanced App Integration: More power in our hands
Siri will gain deeper integration with Apple apps and third-party apps, unlocking a wide range of new capabilities. We’ll be able to ask Siri to send all the photos from an event to a specific person or retrieve an article from our Safari Reading List.
Additionally, Siri will be able to complete multi-step tasks with a single command. For example, we can take a photo, edit it, and send it to someone all without switching apps or manually performing each action. This will make Siri a much more complete and versatile assistant in our daily lives.
When will these features arrive?
These major improvements to Siri will be available in iOS 18.4, expected to officially launch in April 2025 following a beta testing period starting in January. Before that, iOS 18.3 will roll out in late January, paving the way for these exciting features.
The future of Siri with iOS 19
Following this, in June, Apple will unveil iOS 19 during the 2025 WWDC. According to rumors, this system will include what many are calling the future of Siri: its integration with advanced language models (LLMs). These technologies, which also power services like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Claude, will enable Siri to engage in far more natural conversations, better understand our requests, and perform highly complex tasks with greater precision.
While the announcement is expected in June, some of these advanced features will likely be rolled out gradually in subsequent updates, extending into late 2025 and 2026.
