Apple is in the final stretch of testing for iOS 17.4, an update that will take iPhone performance and functionality to a new level. From significant changes in entertainment to security, iOS 17.4 will bring major improvements to our user experience. But when will it be available to everyone? Here's what we know.

Possible release date for iOS 17.4

Throughout the testing period of over a month for the iOS 17.4 beta, we have witnessed how Apple has expanded the features and functionalities of its operating system in many fields.

Initially, the beta brought preparations for three major new features: support for third-party app stores in the European Union, the arrival of RCS in the Messages app, and a next-generation CarPlay.

Subsequently, several new features were revealed such as quantum security in iMessage, improvements in stolen device protection, transcriptions in Apple Podcasts, changes in the iPhone's battery health menu, and much more.

All these updates collectively establish iOS 17.4 as a version packed with significant innovations that will fundamentally transform our iPhones and what they are capable of. Something that will happen very soon: iOS 17.4 should reach all users on or before March 6, 2024.

According to 9to5mac, this anticipated release date (normally it would have been during the second half of March) is due to compliance with the March 6 deadline imposed by the EU Digital Markets Act. With Apple currently on the fourth beta of iOS 17.4, it is likely to deliver the release candidate this week, with the official launch probably between March 4 and 6.

So, we are almost there. Soon we will be able to enjoy all the new features that iOS 17.4 brings and further improve our iPhone experience.
