It's Glowtime event resumen

Yesterday, during the "It's Glowtime" event, Apple introduced its latest innovations: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, Apple Watch Series 10, and new AirPods. Packed with significant advancements in artificial intelligence, functionality, efficiency, and overall performance, these are the best devices on the market to date. Let’s dive into the details.

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus: Evolving Apple Intelligence

The new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature a refreshed design with five vibrant color options (black, white, pink, teal green, and ultramarine blue) and screen sizes of 6.1 and 6.7 inches.

These entry-level models —now with extended battery life and powered by the new A18 chip, which offers significant boosts in performance and energy efficiency— are designed to fully showcase Apple Intelligence’s capabilities (in its launch, we saw all its new features).

One of the standout features is the new Camera Control, allowing users to access the camera intuitively, capturing important moments instantly with full creative flexibility. The advanced camera system includes a 48MP Fusion camera with a 2x telephoto lens and a new 12MP Ultra Wide camera with autofocus and macro photography capabilities.

The devices feature Super Retina XDR displays with OLED technology and Dynamic Island, as well as a durable design thanks to their ceramic shield. They are water and dust resistant. Moreover, the new action button enables quick tasks like opening the camera or flashlight.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus also come with enhanced security features like emergency SOS via satellite and live video during emergency calls, ensuring greater protection and connectivity in critical situations.

Availability and Pricing

Pre-orders start this Friday, September 13, with availability beginning on September 20.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max: Premium Performance

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max take high-end smartphone experiences to the next level with the A18 Pro chip. These models offer advanced intelligence, including generative models for improving image and language creation, all while protecting privacy with Apple’s Private Cloud Compute system.

Both models feature a revamped camera system with a 48MP Fusion camera, 4K video recording at 120 fps, and Dolby Vision. There’s also a 48MP Ultra Wide camera with macro capabilities and a 5x telephoto lens for capturing distant details with impressive clarity. Studio-quality microphones enhance audio recording, and the support for spatial audio recording and new audio mixing options in videos strengthens the overall multimedia experience.

The titanium design (available in black, natural, white, and desert) is both lightweight and durable, with the largest displays ever seen on an iPhone: 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. These Super Retina XDR displays include Always-On and ProMotion technology, offering a dynamic viewing experience.

The Camera Control feature we mentioned earlier allows for real-time adjustments like zoom and exposure, and integrates with third-party apps, expanding creative opportunities.

The A18 Pro chip excels in graphics performance and energy efficiency. Additionally, its 16-core neural engine enables faster and more efficient machine learning processing.

Again, both models include advanced security features like emergency SOS via satellite and live video sharing during emergency calls.

Apple Watch Series 10: Sleek, Smart, and Functional

The Apple Watch Series 10 (available in aluminum and titanium finishes) is the thinnest model yet, featuring the largest and most advanced display to date, enhancing the user experience with more interactive space.

One of its most important innovations is sleep apnea monitoring, alerting users to potential breathing interruptions. It also includes sensors to measure water temperature and depth, ideal for aquatic activities.

With faster charging, users can enjoy long-lasting battery life in just minutes—perfect for all-day use. Powered by the S10 SiP chip and a 4-core neural engine, this Apple Watch enhances user experience through AI, from exercise detection to the new Translation app in watchOS 11.

Lastly, the depth sensor and the new Tides app provide valuable information about maritime conditions, useful for surfers and divers.

All of this brings the Apple Watch Series 10 closer to the "athlete’s watch" label, crowned by the Apple Watch Ultra, which now comes in a new matte black finish.

The AirPods Pro 2 are groundbreaking in hearing health, featuring Active Hearing Protection and a scientifically validated Hearing Test. They even offer clinical-grade hearing aid functionality for people with hearing loss.

In addition to high-quality sound, users can evaluate their hearing at home and securely share results with medical professionals via the Health app.
