Severance 2 is already in production, confirms Apple
In a simple yet cryptic announcement on X (formerly Twitter), Apple TV+'s official account shared an image that has excited fans of the series. In the black and white photo, we see Mark S. (portrayed by Adam Scott) sprinting down a long white hallway, while a large camera records the scene. And the hidden message in the image's alternative text (ALT) confirms any doubts: "Severance Season 2 is in production."
The "news" comes after months of uncertainty caused by the writers' strike that halted production in May 2023. The series had been renewed for a second season in April 2022. However, the strike brought with it doubts about the future of the show, leaving fans wondering when they could once again immerse themselves in the intriguing world of Severance.
To jog our memory, Severance, created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller, tells the story of Mark Scout, who leads a team at Lumon Industries.
