The blueprints for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro have recently been leaked. With a design that's already familiar to us but with some noteworthy new details, these are the changes we can expect in the design of the iPhone 16 Pro, rumored to come in two different colors.
iPhone 16 Pro's new design
Compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro, the design of the iPhone 16 Pro retains many similarities, but introduces some key modifications. One of these is the redesign of the action button, which now has a length similar to one of the volume buttons, but with a slightly wider shape to distinguish it, both visually and to the touch.
The most significant change is, as other rumors had already announced, the incorporation of a new "capture" button, located on the lower left side of the device, where the mmWave antenna was previously located. This button, with a length similar to the side button, is completely flush with the phone's body without protruding at all.
91Mobiles, known for several of its accurate leaks in the past, such as those of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro, has published these new schemes. And the credibility of their information has been endorsed, among others, by MacRumors.
In addition to these modifications in the buttons, it is rumored that the main change in the design of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be the increase in screen size, going from 6.1 to 6.3 inches and from 6.7 to 6.9 inches, respectively. Given the significant change we already saw in the iPhone 15 models towards a titanium frame and more rounded edges, it is anticipated that the aesthetics of the future iPhone 16 models will remain relatively similar.
But beauty is also on the inside. And at the software level, with iOS 18 (which may take some inspiration from visionOS, come with more power in Siri and the Messages app, and arrive loaded with AIs, some of them already confirmed), the iPhone 16 may bring us big surprises. We will see in fall.
