The event unveiling the new iPhone 18 Pro models is just around the corner. And, according to the rumors, the main new features will focus on the high-end devices. Everything points to a presentation featuring five major devices, although with Apple we can always expect surprises. Let’s take a look at the details.
The iPhone 18 Pro and the long-awaited Foldable iPhone
The main stars of the upcoming September keynote should be the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. According to MacRumors, the design would retain the current lines, with a smaller Dynamic Island and a camera with a variable aperture that would allow us to control light and blur more effectively—two very interesting improvements for photography and video. The A20 Pro chip would increase power and efficiency, accompanied by an LTPO+ OLED display, the C2 modem and the N2 chip.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max, meanwhile, would include these same new features in a larger and slightly thicker format, designed to accommodate a higher-capacity battery. The special color for the iPhone 18 Pro models would be Dark Cherry, and the price could rise by between 100 and 200 dollars compared with the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.
The major surprise of the event, however, would be Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is being referred to as the iPhone Ultra. When closed, it would have a 5.5-inch display and, when opened, it would reach 7.8 inches with a 4:3 aspect ratio, similar to an iPad mini. With a price of between 2 000 and 2 500 dollars, Apple would be aiming for a visually very subtle crease, a 2 nm A20 chip, two batteries, a dual camera and Touch ID. In fact, some subtle new features in iOS 27 already seem to be preparing the ecosystem for this format.

Two Apple Watch models and more products on the way
We also expect to see new Apple Watch models. The Apple Watch Series 12 should receive a faster S chip, improvements to health and fitness features and a larger battery. The Apple Watch Ultra 4 would follow the same evolution, with a slimmer body and improved sensors. The key would be a faster and more accurate experience, especially when combining the hardware with Siri and Apple Intelligence in iOS 27 and the rest of the operating systems.
There are more products that we expect to see before the end of the year. We are talking about a more powerful Apple TV 4K, new HomePod and HomePod mini models, a new Apple security camera and even a Home Hub with a 7-inch display. However, rumors suggest that Apple will probably hold another keynote in October or November focused on these products, alongside possible Macs with the M6 chip and an OLED iPad mini.
Based on previous years, the most likely date for the eagerly awaited iPhone 18 Pro event, alongside the Apple Watch models, would be next Tuesday, 8 September, or Wednesday, 9 September. Meanwhile, we should see the entry-level iPhone 18 range, the iPhone 18e and the iPhone Air 2 during spring 2027.
