Apple has confirmed that its annual developer conference, WWDC 2026, will take place from June 8 to June 12. That is where we will get our first look at iOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, iPadOS 27 and visionOS 27, along with several new features related to artificial intelligence under the Apple Intelligence brand. As it does every year, the event will begin with an opening Keynote on Monday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, which we will be able to follow through the Apple Developer app, Apple’s website and its YouTube channel.
A conference focused on artificial intelligence
There is still a great deal we do not know, but what we do know is already highly suggestive. Apple has officially announced that WWDC 2026 will bring several “AI advances.” We can therefore expect improvements across its different operating systems, as well as in its developer tools.
If we now move on to the rumours, one of the most anticipated developments is the evolution of Siri into its Apple Intelligence version, which will integrate personal context, more comprehensive search, an understanding of on-screen content and the ability to carry out actions directly within our apps.
Looking a little further ahead, the rumour mill also claims that Apple is working on a chatbot-style version of Siri designed to compete directly with ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. There is a chance that during the Keynote we will see a demonstration of how this new Siri will work.
Alongside the headline announcements, the conference week will also bring us more than 100 video sessions and a long list of online workshops. Through them, developers will be able to explore first-hand how to integrate these new capabilities into their apps, and we will learn more details about Apple’s plans for artificial intelligence.
As usual, Apple will continue to provide more details over the coming weeks through the Apple Developer app and its website, so we can expect a few surprises even before WWDC 2026 begins.
Without a doubt, this edition of WWDC is shaping up to be one of the most interesting in recent years. We still know very little, but the promise of an expansion of Apple Intelligence across different parts of the system could significantly change how we use our devices and what we do with them. In just over two months, we will know much more.
