Cómo usar el Magic Keyboard con un Mac y un PC con Windows simultáneamente

There is a quite ingenious and at the same time simple way to use Apple's Magic Keyboard with both a Mac and a Windows desktop PC simultaneously. Although the Magic Keyboard does not offer native support for multiple connections, there is a method that does not require any additional accessories and will allow us more flexibility with the Apple keyboard.

A creative solution for using the Magic Keyboard with both a Mac and a PC: dual, wireless and wired connection

The trick to using the Magic Keyboard with two computers is to connect the keyboard to the Mac wirelessly via Bluetooth, while maintaining a wired Lightning to USB connection with the Windows PC.

When the PC is turned off, the keyboard automatically connects to the Mac via Bluetooth. When the PC is turned on, the wired connection takes priority and the keyboard switches to the PC. And if we want to switch back to typing on the Mac, we simply turn the keyboard off and on again, which causes it to reconnect wirelessly to the Mac. Need to switch again? We just unplug and plug in the keyboard cable for a second, and we're back on the PC.

Although this solution may not be the most sophisticated (which could involve using a switch for the connection) nor the most elegant, it does allow us to continue enjoying the layout and quality of the Apple keyboard while, with a single keyboard, we operate on two devices. A system with which we can even use the Touch ID sensor to unlock the Mac and at the same time type in Windows.
