Cómo ver la velocidad y dirección del viento en un mapa gracias a la app Tiempo de nuestro iPhone, iPad o Mac

In the field of instant access to detailed weather information, real-time weather maps have become an indispensable tool. Let's see how to use these maps to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about wind speed and direction and other weather conditions easily, using the Weather app on our iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Wind information, seen visually

The Weather app, present on all our devices, has evolved a lot. And one of the recent additions is the ability to view wind information in a weather map format. Accessing it is as easy as following these steps:

  1. Open the Weather app on our iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Swiping from right to left, we choose the city that interests us or move to the first option, which will show us the weather in our current location.
  3. Scrolling down, we tap on the map that appears among other sections.
  4. Tap the button in the form of three stacked squares in the top right corner.
  5. Choose Wind.

Once inside this section, we can zoom in on the region of interest, move around the map, and press and hold on any point to see detailed measurements. By tapping the play button at the bottom, we can also play a forecast of how the wind will behave in the coming hours.

In the layers section, in addition to the wind, we can access air quality maps, precipitation, or temperature. All data is presented visually and in detail on the map of the region we are consulting. With this, we can draw our own conclusions about the current state of the weather and make forecasts of situations such as the swell on the coast —which depends directly on the weather, for example, or the advance of a storm.

The amount of information offered by the Weather app on our iPhone, iPad, or Mac is much more than it seems at first glance. Just as it allows us check the current conditions, it now also shows us the wind in the most graphic way possible.
