,

For months we've known that Disney is preparing the sequel to Moana. Now, with the release of the first trailer for Moana 2, we finally get a glimpse of the new oceanic adventures that lie ahead. Here's everything we know so far.

Moana 2 first trailer is here

The trailer for Moana 2 provides a brief yet thrilling look at the upcoming film. We reunite with Moana, voiced by Auli’i Cravalho, and the demigod Maui, voiced by Dwayne Johnson, as they embark on a challenging journey that will take them into unknown and potentially dangerous waters. The adventure begins when Moana receives an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, urging her to travel to the most remote parts of the ocean to reconnect and unite her people.

David G. Derrick Jr. directs the movie, making his directorial debut after working on storyboards for various Disney projects like Encanto and Raya and the Last Dragon. He is joined by co-directors Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, ensuring a vibrant and visually stunning narrative.

Fans will notice the absence of Lin-Manuel Miranda from the music team. However, the trailer promises equally captivating songs from veterans Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina, along with contributions from Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear.
