Cómo abrir cualquier app desde la pantalla de bloqueo de nuestro iPhone gracias a iOS 16

We can modify or even hide the Flashlight and Camera buttons on our iPhone's lock screen. It's an interesting option that lets us personalise the quick actions we want to have at hand—without even unlocking our iPhone.

How to change the flashlight and Camera buttons

Once our iPhone—or iPad, in fact—is running iOS 18, iOS 26 or a later version, these are the steps to follow:

  1. Open the Settings app on our iPhone.
  2. Go to the Wallpaper section.
  3. Select the wallpaper we’ve currently set or choose a new one.
  4. At the bottom of the screen, tap the “–” icon next to the Flashlight or Camera button.
  5. Tap the “+” icon that appears in its place.
  6. Choose the action we want to assign to that button.
  7. Tap the blue OK button in the top right corner.

Apple offers us a wide range of options to personalise these buttons. We can set quick access to apps like Translate, Home or Calculator, or to specific functions like activating dark mode, opening the magnifier, or launching our Shortcuts.

How to hide the Flashlight and Camera buttons

If we prefer a cleaner lock screen or simply don’t need quick access buttons, we can also hide these buttons entirely. The process is just as easy:

  1. Follow the same steps up to the fourth one.
  2. After tapping the “–” icon next to the button we want to remove, simply don’t select anything.
  3. Confirm by tapping the OK button.

Whether we want quick access to a specific app, to activate Airplane mode, or simply enjoy a more minimalist lock screen, our iPhone gives us the tools to do it. Even the smallest details can make a big difference.
