Cómo enfocar una foto después de tomarla en el iPhone

Since the launch of the first iPhone, mobile photography has seen an impressive evolution. One of the notable advancements was the introduction of Portrait Mode with the iPhone 7 Plus, which allows us to capture images with a blurred background. However, the options go much further. Let's talk about the possibility of changing the focus of a photo after taking it on our iPhone.

Improving the Focus of Our Photographs After Taking Them

In the past, if we realized after taking a photo that the focus was not correct, our only option was to retake the photo. Now, it's possible to modify the focus point of a portrait at any time, because once a photo has been taken with a person or a pet as the subject, we can tap on it to change its focus.

And in addition to doing this on our iPhone, we can also do it on our iPad or Mac. How? As easily as following these steps:

  1. Open the Photos app on our iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Select the portrait we want to adjust.
  3. Press Edit in the upper right corner.
  4. Choose the Portrait option that appears in the settings section.
  5. Tap on the part of the image we want to focus on and adjust the blur level if necessary. We can use any part of the photo, not just the subjects, but also their background.
  6. Save the changes by pressing OK.

The ability to change the focus of our photos after taking them and to do so at any time after their capture is really interesting. Furthermore, the adjustments we just applied are what we call non-destructive, meaning that we can repeat the same steps several times until we achieve the desired effect.

With all this, the flexibility we have in achieving the desired effect in our shots is enormous. This is something that we can achieve very easily, as the Photos app on our iPhone, iPad, or Mac offers us the necessary tools.
