Eva Longoria will return to the screen with Land of Women, a new dramedy series that will offer a mix of humor and drama. Yesterday, Apple TV+ released the first trailer for this bilingual series that takes three generations of women (including the renowned Spanish actress Carmen Maura) on somewhat forced vacations to a charming wine village in northern Spain.

Apple TV+'s Land of Women debuts its first trailer

As seen in the trailer, the new series, inspired by Sandra Barneda's bestselling novel "La tierra de las mujeres", tells the story of Gala (Eva Longoria), a wealthy New Yorker whose life is completely turned upside down when her husband disappears after failing to repay a debt to the wrong people. Fleeing from these dangerous criminals who are after her family, Gala is forced to escape the city with her mother, Julia (Carmen Maura), and her teenage daughter, Kate (Victoria Bazúa). Where to? To her mother's hometown in northern Spain, a place from which Julia fled 50 years ago.

There, they will try to start a new life without drawing too much attention. But in small towns, everyone knows everything. And local gossip quickly begins to reveal old family secrets.

Land of Women, which will feature a mix of English and Spanish, will premiere globally on June 26, 2024, with the first two episodes. From then, every Wednesday until July 24, we will see a new episode of the six-episode series.

This new series from Apple TV+, created by Ramón Campos, directed by Carlos Sedes, and produced by Longoria through her company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, promises to bring us a delightful combination of drama and comedy, picturesque locations, and a charming cast. A refreshing new addition to the platform.
