The newly announced Apple Creator Studio offers us a complete collection of the company’s creative apps, giving us access—through a single subscription—to the best tools for video, music, image editing, and productivity. With this offering, we can enjoy Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage, along with AI features and exclusive content for Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and later on, Freeform. All of this comes through one subscription that opens the door to a professional studio directly on our iPad or Mac.
Creator Studio costs 12.99 € per month or 129 € per year, and includes a one-month free trial. If we have bought a new Mac or iPad with an A16, A17 Pro, or M1 chip and later, we can enjoy three months of access at no cost. For university students and teachers, the subscription is even more appealing: 2.99 € per month or 29 € per year.
Our entire creative studio in a single subscription
Apple Creator Studio gives us immediate access to all of Apple’s professional apps without having to buy each one separately. Instead of managing individual licences and updates, we can install the subscription versions directly from the App Store and start working right away. What exactly do we get access to? The following:
- Final Cut Pro and Motion, for editing videos and creating professional animations and effects, with AI tools such as Visual Search, Montage Creator, or Magnetic Mask.
- Logic Pro and MainStage, which take music composition to the next level with Synth Player, Chord ID, and a fully refreshed library of loops and sounds.
- Pixelmator Pro, which streamlines image editing with powerful yet easy-to-use tools. Available on iPad for the first time, with Apple Pencil support and new features such as the Warp tool to manipulate layers with complete freedom.
- Compressor, which lets us export video projects with custom settings optimised for any platform.
- Keynote, Pages, and Numbers—Apple’s office apps—receive new exclusive content with Creator Studio. The standout here is the new Content Hub with premium templates and high-quality images ready to use.
Smart features that support our workflow
In addition to giving us access to the tools themselves, the Creator Studio subscription offers us various AI features directly within the apps.
In Final Cut Pro, for example, we can search for audio snippets by typing a phrase into the search bar, while Time Detection lets us sync video cuts to music in a visual and precise way. In Logic Pro, Synth Player acts as a virtual music producer capable of turning our first idea into a track that’s already ready to mix.
On the visual side, Pixelmator Pro offers us—on both iPad and Mac—tools such as Super Resolution, Auto Crop, and Warp, which help us work with images much more easily. And in the productivity apps, AI allows us to generate presentation drafts, automatic notes, and smart formulas in Numbers.
Price, availability, and additional benefits
Apple Creator Studio will arrive on the App Store next Wednesday, 28 January. When we subscribe, we can share access with up to six people through Family Sharing.
If we prefer them, the one-time purchase versions will remain available at their usual prices: Final Cut Pro for 349.99 €, Logic Pro for 229.99 €, Pixelmator Pro for 59.99 €, Motion and Compressor for 59.99 € each, and MainStage for 34.99 €. The subscription, however, offers us a more flexible and straightforward way to enjoy all the professional tools, along with updates and new content.
With Creator Studio, Apple gives us the chance to turn any device into a true creative studio. By taking advantage of its power and the go-to apps in the professional market, we have an excellent opportunity to explore all our creative potential with the greatest ease.
