Apple TV App llega a Android

Apple has just announced the launch of the Apple TV app for Android devices. Now, users can access Apple’s award-winning streaming service, Apple TV+, and MLS Season Pass directly from their smartphones and tablets.

Apple TV+ Lands on Android with a Custom-Built App

Until now, Android users had to rely on the web version at tv.apple.com to access Apple TV+ content. Now, a brand-new Apple TV app, available for download on Google Play, has been specifically designed for the Android ecosystem.

This ensures that users will enjoy Apple’s signature intuitive and user-friendly interface, along with features like Continue Watching and Watchlist for seamless content management. Additionally, the app is built to guarantee smooth playback, whether on high-speed Wi-Fi or mobile data, and includes the option to download content for offline viewing.

Extensive Catalog and Exclusive Content

As many already know, Apple TV+ stands out for its vast catalog of original series and movies. Among its top hits are The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, Severance, Slow Horses, Presumed Innocent, Shrinking, and Masters of the Air. On the film side, the platform offers award-winning titles such as Killers of the Flower Moon, CODA, and The Family Plan.

Moreover, MLS Season Pass allows soccer fans to follow all Major League Soccer matches—the professional soccer league in the United States, which continues to gain more followers in Spain. This service provides access to every match with no blackouts, exclusive content, and in-depth analysis. The 2025 season kicks off on February 22.

Compatibility and Pricing

Android users can subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass through their Google Play account, simplifying the payment and subscription process. Additionally, Apple TV+ offers a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.

It’s also worth noting that while the Apple TV app was previously unavailable for phones and tablets, it was already available on Android TV and Google TV devices. Now, users of these versions can also subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass directly through Google Play’s billing system, eliminating the need for an Apple account.

However, the Apple TV app for Android does not allow users to purchase or rent content from the iTunes Store, nor does it provide access to previously purchased movies and TV shows on Apple’s platform.

Apple TV+ (besides these five ways to get it for free) costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year, while MLS Season Pass is priced at $14.99 per month or $99 per season. Apple TV+ is also included in all Apple One subscription plans, bundled with other Apple services.
