The future is here. With the upcoming release of Vision Pro, Apple has taken a giant leap in the world of entertainment, introducing none other than immersive cinema. In an era where technology and entertainment go hand in hand, Apple is redefining the cinematic experience by adding an extra layer to the visual and narrative: the sensory experience. Soon, we'll be able to "dive" into these four new Apple originals with the arrival of Apple Vision Pro. And as we wait for many more, let's take a look.

Apple Vision Pro Adds a New Sensory Dimension to Stories

Apple Vision Pro is ready to change the rules of entertainment. Within Apple TV+, the company has announced the launch of a section dedicated to taking viewers to a new level of immersion in stories. Thanks to the technology of the new device, Apple TV+ can offer 180-degree 3D and 8K recordings, captured with Spatial Audio, placing the viewer right at the heart of the narrative. And to kick off this revolutionary wave, Apple has already lined up four brand-new original productions.

Prehistoric Planet Immersive

Inspired by Jon Favreau's acclaimed original docuseries, this production takes us on a journey 70 million years back in the midst of a pterosaur colony as they settle down for a pleasant afternoon nap on a rugged coast. But it seems that the experience will be anything but calm.

Offering a unique view of prehistoric life, we will delve into the daily lives of dinosaurs, experiencing firsthand how T-Rex teens crash into this pterosaur colony on the beach until their mom shows up to break up the party. Among other adventures, like an intense battle between raptors and a pride of Triceratops in the forest, with Prehistoric Planet Immersive fun is guaranteed.

Adventure

Adventure is another gem of this new collection, a series that follows pioneering athletes facing impressive challenges in some of the world's most remote and spectacular places.

From the hands of Atlantic Productions and produced by the Apple Immersive Video team, the first episode, titled "Highlining," takes viewers to the experience of highlining (a balance sport on a flat strap about 5 centimeters wide). We will accompany professional Faith Dickey as she faces her biggest challenge to date: a daring traverse 1,000 meters above the breathtaking Norwegian fjords.

Alicia Keys: Rehearsal Room

For music lovers, Alicia Keys: Rehearsal Room offers an intimate window into the creative process of the Grammy winner. This short film allows viewers to be part of a rehearsal session, featuring performances of her most famous hits like “No One,” “If I Ain’t Got You,” and “You Don’t Know My Name.”

Wild Life

And not lagging behind is Wild Life, a series that will bring us closer than ever to some of the most charismatic creatures on the planet, discovering what makes them unique from those who know them best.

The first episode will transport us to the world's largest rhino sanctuary, showing the work of a former police captain who has dedicated her life to rescuing, raising, and rewilding these gentle giants.

In addition to these new originals, only available on the Apple TV app, Apple Vision Pro will offer interactive narrative experiences that dynamically respond to us as users. For example, the free app "Encounter Dinosaurs," created by Apple with Jon Favreau as executive producer, will allow us to go back to prehistoric times and interact with fully realistic 3D dinosaurs while being enveloped by Spatial Audio.

The launch of Apple Vision Pro is scheduled for February 2nd in the United States, and these immersive experiences will be available at no additional cost on the Apple TV app from that day. We're excited by the thought that merging technology and creativity to craft unforgettable experiences marks the start of a revolutionary journey that opens doors to unexplored worlds.
