Apple Music, available on all our iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and even on Android, has a wide music catalog and an option to keep the music going non-stop. We are talking about Autoplay, which, although very interesting, can sometimes take us away from our favorite playlists and albums. Let's take a closer look at what it is and how to activate or deactivate it depending on the music we want to listen to.
What is Apple Music's Autoplay
Apple Music's Autoplay is designed to offer an uninterrupted musical experience, automatically playing songs similar to the ones we are listening to at the end.
If we haven't activated the repeat function within an album, playlist, or song, sooner or later the system will run out of tracks to play. Before the launch of Autoplay, this simply stopped the playback, but now we have the option to extend it.
This function is ideal when we want the music to keep playing, but it's also true that it may not fit certain moments when we want to stay within our selected playlists or albums.
How to Deactivate Autoplay in Apple Music
The good news is that activating or deactivating Autoplay in Apple Music is extremely simple and quick. In addition, when done on one device, this preference syncs with all devices associated with our Apple ID. How do we do it? Just like this:
- Open the Music app on our iPhone or iPad.
- Play a song.
- Touch the playback tab at the bottom to open it.
- Tap the button in the form of a list at the bottom right.
- Tap the infinity-shaped button.
If the infinity symbol is surrounded by a clear box, it means that Autoplay is activated. To deactivate it, make sure this box is not present.
Whether we prefer to listen only to our music selection or enjoy a broader experience with similar songs, Autoplay in Apple Music offers us both options. With these simple steps, just as when we talk about how and why to equalize music on the iPhone, we can control how and when we want our music to continue, personalizing our musical experience to our taste.
