Cómo añadir efectos a las Fotos de nuestro iPhone: rebote, bucle y mucho más

Since its launch in 2015, Apple's Live Photos have offered us a very creative way to capture moments, adding a dynamic element to what would otherwise be static images. Over time, this feature has been enhanced, offering us more tools to transform our photos into something even more dynamic. Let's see how to add bounce, loop, long exposure, and more effects to our iPhone photos.

Enriching Our Photos with Dynamic Effects

Live Photos allow us not only to capture an image but also the moments before and after taking it, creating a richer visual experience. Apple has also enriched this function with a series of effects that we can apply to transform these photos into small works of art:

  • The Loop effect turns the brief video of the Live Photo into a continuous loop. It is particularly impressive in photos of elements in constant motion, such as water flowing in a fountain or a waterfall.
  • By applying the Bounce effect, the video plays forward and then backward. This option can result in very funny clips, especially in situations where movement is the protagonist.
  • With the Long Exposure effect, we emulate what DSLR cameras would offer. This effect blurs any movement, creating an ethereal and artistic aesthetic ideal for capturing elements like night traffic or also making moving people disappear from the shot.

To apply any of these effects to our Live Photos, the steps to follow are as simple as these:

  1. Open the Photos app on our iPhone or iPad.
  2. Select a Live Photo. We can find them, in addition to the Photo Library, in the "Content Types" section within Albums.
  3. With the Live Photo open, touch the LIVE icon in the top left corner of the interface.
  4. Choose between Live (default), Loop, Bounce, Long Exposure, and Off (disable the Live Photo) in the dropdown menu that appears.

The chosen effect is applied instantly, and our photo is ready to be shared, allowing us to show our creations to friends and family.

The effects of the Photos app offer us a way to enrich our photos and give them a touch of creativity. Moreover, since the adjustments are non-destructive, we can always repeat the steps we've just seen or edit the photos and change the effect or deactivate it. A way to give more life to our images.
