Apple has launched a new app: Apple Invites. This app makes organizing events much easier—and fun at the same time. Now available on the App Store, it allows us to create, personalize, and manage invitations for any occasion. Let’s take a closer look.
Until now, organizing a gathering with friends or family meant using multiple apps, sending individual messages, and keeping track of RSVPs manually. With Apple Invites, everything is in one place. The app lets us design invitations, manage guest lists, and even collaborate on a shared event photo album. Best of all, anyone can respond to invitations—even if they don’t have an Apple device.
A simple and elegant way to organize events
The Apple Invites app features a very intuitive interface. The first thing we see is our sent and received invitations. Each one displays key event details such as the title, date and time, location, and additional information like the weather forecast and directions via the Maps app.
If we have an Apple Music subscription, we can create a collaborative playlist for the event. Guests can access it directly from the app, adding their favorite songs to play during the gathering. Similarly, we can create a shared album, allowing both hosts and guests to upload event photos, making them accessible to everyone.
To create an invitation, we simply tap the "+" button. We can choose an image from our photo library or use one suggested by the app, fill in the event details, and send the invitation link to whoever we want. If we choose to share the invitation via a public link, we can enable an option to manually approve each participant before they can view the invitation content.
As event organizers, we can see RSVPs in real-time, send reminders to all participants, and control what information is visible to guests.
Guests can view and respond to invitations either through the app or the web, without needing an iPhone or even an Apple account. Each person decides what information to share—usually just an email address—and can leave an event if they wish.
