Cómo responder una llamada con un mensaje en nuestro iPhone

We have gotten used to being continuously connected. With an iPhone in our pocket, we are accessible at all hours of the day. But there are times when, for various reasons, we cannot answer an incoming call.

A quick response for when we can't answer the phone

Although we can't always directly answer calls, it's important to let our callers know that we are aware of their attempts to contact us. Whether to tell them we will call them back later, that we are on our way, or simply to acknowledge their call, this communication is crucial.

This is precisely why our iPhone has the "Answer with Message" feature, which serves as a practical and customizable solution for these scenarios. Apple initially offers three predefined messages: "I'll call you later.", "I'm on my way.", and "What's up?"

However, we can adapt these messages to our needs and personal style. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on our iPhone.
  2. Go to Phone.
  3. Tap on Answer with Message.
  4. Customize the messages in the provided spaces.

It's important to remember that if we leave any space unedited, the corresponding default message will be displayed.

When we receive a call, whether it's a phone call or a FaceTime call, we will see an icon along with the "Message" option, located above the button to accept the call. Tapping this button immediately silences the call (without rejecting it) and allows us to send one of our customized messages. At that moment, the call is considered rejected and the message is sent via SMS.

Maintaining an effective and polite communication is essential in our daily lives. With the "Answer with Message" feature, we personalize how and when we inform our contacts of our availability, thereby improving our interactions and keeping the lines of communication active, even when we can't immediately answer a call.
